West London pharmacy sold to small multiple operator

Shelly’s Pharmacy in North Kensington, London has been sold to a small independent multiple operator, property company Christie & Co has said.

Ali Monsour, who owns a number of pharmacies in North London and the Home Counties, bought the business – a standard hours pharmacy dispensing a monthly average of 8,000 items – for an undisclosed sum from Shailesh Thakrar, who opened it in 1981.

Christie & Co medical director Jack Chard, who handled the sale, said: “Due to Shelly’s' strong item numbers and turnover, the pharmacy received multiple bids over the asking price – something we now have now become accustomed to with high performing London pharmacies.

“Mr Thakrar and Mr Mansour were both easily contactable throughout the deal and ensured it was smooth and efficient.”
